Who is behind the byline

David Shusterman began sharing firsthand event coverage on his personal Instagram in 2020. The Circuit Report expands that work into a public magazine, with photographs and reports from occasions he attends alongside researched guides and a searchable upcoming calendar.

Our event reports come from firsthand attendance. Calendar listings and advance guides draw on event organizers’ published information. Nothing is syndicated, nothing is bought, and coverage is never sold — which is the only reason a guest list is worth reading about.

What we cover

Benefit galas and their beneficiaries. Museum and gallery openings. Private salons and dinners where the conversation is the point. Medical and scientific summits, where the black tie is optional but the stakes are not. Awards nights, restaurant openings and anniversaries, and major society celebrations. Our calendar follows New York, the Hamptons, Miami, Palm Beach, Aspen, Newport and the international circuit.

What we do not do

Pay-to-play features, unattributed photos, and guest lists reprinted from a publicist's PDF. If The Circuit Report says the editor was there, the editor was there.
