WBDC Annual Gala & Awards Celebration

What the charity supports

WBDC supports women building businesses and economic opportunity in Connecticut. Entrepreneurial and financial education, business advising and practical support help owners start or grow enterprises that can sustain income and jobs. Explore the organization’s work.

Where support goes

The gala supports WBDC’s wider work, including advising, access to funding information, mentoring and support for child-care businesses. Its annual reports offer a way to follow the organization beyond the awards luncheon. The event page does not assign every sponsorship to one named grant recipient. Read its financial and impact reporting.

The people behind the work

The 2026 program includes keynote speaker Carla Harris, a senior client advisor at Morgan Stanley, and recognizes Susan Muigai and Dr. Katherine Saunders with Impact Awards. WBDC’s team and board carry responsibility for the year-round programs; award recognition is distinct from running those services. Meet the organization.
