International Seafarer Ministry Gala
The ministry serves the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of international seafarers passing through South Florida.
What the charity supports
The ministry serves the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of international seafarers passing through South Florida. Hospitality, practical help and pastoral care matter for people working far from home and family. Explore the organization’s work.
Where support goes
The gala supports the ministry’s work with seafarers, including ship visits, its hospitality center and Church at Sea fellowships. The organizer describes Christian service and encouragement as part of that mission. Its stated reach within the maritime community is different from a count of people directly served by one donation.
The people behind the work
Dr. Julio C. Salas is the ministry’s executive director, pastor and port chaplain. Ministry staff, board members, volunteers and partners help sustain care across ships and shore. The official presentation offers a way to understand that less-visible part of port life. Meet the organization.
