LACMA Art+Film Gala 2026: Vija Celmins, Denis Villeneuve and ROSÉ
LACMA’s November 7 benefit honors Vija Celmins and Denis Villeneuve, with ROSÉ performing and Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio as co-chairs.

Film is central to the purpose of LACMA’s Art+Film Gala on November 7, 2026. The benefit helps fund the museum’s film initiatives alongside exhibitions, acquisitions, education and screenings that connect cinema with visual art.
The fifteenth edition honors artist Vija Celmins and filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio return as co-chairs, with Gucci as presenting sponsor. Those are announced program roles; the wider guest list is not the program.
Two approaches to looking
Celmins works across painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking. Her ocean surfaces, desert floors and night skies draw attention to sustained observation and the translation of a photograph into another medium. Her career has included major museum exhibitions and a 1997 MacArthur Fellowship.
Villeneuve brings cinema’s construction of worlds into the conversation. His films include Arrival, Sicario, Blade Runner 2049 and the Dune films. The pairing makes this a benefit about artistic practice as well as a gathering of film and fashion supporters.
ROSÉ joins the program
LACMA’s October 13 announcement confirms ROSÉ as the musical guest. Audi provides transportation and additional support. The performance belongs to the museum’s announced 2026 program, rather than a carried-over lineup from an earlier edition.
Supporting the museum
LACMA’s official gala page explains the benefit and provides its honoree biographies. The museum’s film initiative sits within a broader mission of collecting, presenting and interpreting art. For a prospective supporter, the useful question is how that work connects screens, galleries and public programs.
The gala takes place at LACMA in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 7. Ticket and table inquiries go through artandfilm@lacma.org; arrange admission with the museum. Our event guide keeps the date and access route together.
